His Highness The Duke Dragon Lords Book Five Volume 5 Michelle M Pillow Books

I was so excited to continue on this series with book 5- but after a few chapters, I started getting not getting into the book as I had the previous ones- there's a lot of set up in the end about the Duke's brother and his medical-induced stasis wife, who happens to be the sister e r of this books heroine. I felt like the book somehow dropped the drama with the main characters and focused more on future characters- I am not saying this is a bad book, I'm glad I read it and will continue with the series but I am Hoping they books get better as this one wasn't doing it for me

His Highness The Duke Dragon Lords Book Five Volume 5 Michelle M Pillow Books Reviews

Is good to read about the other cousins. I'm glad that they can also find love. The previous books was about the future king and his brothers. It's nice that other dragon's can also find love. Well this story was different. Bron and Aeron are meant for each other. They both have experience in technology and communications. She is the perfect wife for Bron. I hope her sister wakes up soon. Thanks Michelle M Pillow.
Aeron did come to love Bron. He was so starved for love that he totally missed his forever love. This was Bron's 7th year in trying to find a bride. Poor guy was already resigned to the fact that he won't find his bride anyway. Aeron is from the military & wanted to help this planet & save their people from a very savage race.

When Bron thought he was not going to find his bride & totally missed her because he was looking at his feet instead of paying attention to the paraded brides. His crystal glowed but when he looked up all the brides paased by. He did not know what she looked like & had to wait & go to each eoman to see for whom it glowed the brightest. It glowed for Aeron. Bron & Aeron really had a bad beginning, but it worked out for them.

As for the narrator....Her performance was very choppy & it was very distracting. She did not flow in her narration. It was very much like she was reading a script.

Just because the narrator was bad the story is great. I really love the way Michelle Pillow continued each story in real time from the point of view of the main characters. So it was all happening at the same time from their POV. I look forward the next book.
At the start of the book we are not on the Draig's Homeworld. Instead we start with Aeron hunting down her sister Riona in order to save the Draig. Aeron works for the Federation and intercepted a transmission that sends her on a personal mission to save the Draig. After seeing her own homeworld destroyed she refuses to stand by and do nothing. That is where her sister comes in and gets them a ride aboard Galaxy Brides.

Now we are at the Wedding Ceremony and this is Bron's 7th attempt at finding a wife. Going in to the ceremony he is already planning on not finding a wife and doesn't even watch the procession. When he looks down he sees his crystal glowing but did not see who made it glow. That is just the start of his bad luck during the ceremony. By the end of the night he believes his marriage is cursed and doomed to fail by the Gods.

I enjoyed this book. It has the same type of timeline as the other Dragon Lords book. However, this time around we have a new enemy that we did not see in the original 4. The couple in this story gets together faster then the others but that doesn't mean that there aren't steamy scenes in the book. I cannot wait to see how this story continues.
I loved all four Dragon Princes books by Michelle M. Pillow so I was so excited to read about their royal cousins. This first book in the series did not disappoint, I loved it. The royal cousins are as hot as the princes!
Aeron works for the Federation Military and intercepts a communication that Qurilixian people may be harmed. She is acting on her own, with the help of her sister, because the Federation won’t listen to her and she needs a way to get to Qurilixian so Aeron and her sister hitch a ride with the Galaxy Brides. Aeron has no intention of becoming a bride; she is only there to warn the king that trouble is coming to the planet.
This is Bron’s seventh year of waiting in line for a bride, he doesn’t want to wait again, but he really wants a bride. He almost misses Aeron when his crystal starts to glow because he is so shocked that his crystal is glowing. Bron is so excited to have a wife after he waited so long that their wedding night gets hot and steamy. Bron has to convince Aeron to stay and be his wife, and to give up her work with the Federation Military.
I’m so glad this series continues after the princes found their brides. I love reading about the hot men on Qurilixian and their feisty brides. The love scenes in this one are hot and passionate. I also really liked Aeron and Bron, they were fun characters to read about. This books is highly recommended!
Lord Bronislaw (Bron) High Duke of Draig is not looking forward to yet another failed breeding festival; he has long since given up any hope of finding his true mate. Aeron Grey, civilian analyst for the federation has defied orders and secured passage on Galaxy Brides (or at least her sister did) to warn Quilixen of an eminent attack from a technologically advanced race, but intends only to warn them not marry any of them. Despite both of their intentions fate has other ideas and his crystal glows for him in her presence and they are paired. But things get off to a great start although it’s bad as he allows (well sort of) consummation to occur during the “wedding night” against all tradition and therefore impugning his honor and threatening the marriage. On the other side of things Aeron is convinced that she is now doomed and dying as her people are cursed to start dying once intimate. This runs congruent with the first four Dragon Lords but with a different threat than the Var to deal with and more brides from the ship that we have not heard from. The dukes are much like their cousins the princes when it comes to women so there are some funny and sad misunderstandings to work through on the way to marital bliss, but it’s a great ride and not to be missed. Love the series! Keep em comin!
